Susan Buroker is an interdisciplinary artist working in painting, sculpture, and performance. She lives and works on Long Island and loves to travel to her family’s “farmette” in upstate New York. Returning to this 2nd home after a long absence due to the covid pandemic she was overcome with a flood of emotions; memories of a time and place that exists in her artist’s mind. Susan began painting.

As an artist, Susan’s creative process begins with careful observation of her surroundings, capturing these experiences through drawings, notes, and photographs. With these references as her guide, Susan dove into exploration, seeking to convey the emotions and sensations of her experiences rather than creating an exact representation of the beloved landscape.
